Thank you for this thoroughly enjoyable podcast. 😃 One thing that stood out to me is the impact of exposure and social engagement with people from various political leanings and philosophies. I am wondering if that type of interaction is really possible (or even occurring) in today’s political environment and with the Will’s of tomorrow. It seems that dogmatism has become the overarching rule of the day.

It's funny, I went through a bit of a libertarian phase around college as well, but am now comfortably in the realm of soc-dem thought. (Klein, Yglesias, Medlock, Wilkinson, Roberts, Noahpinion, etc.) It's a bit of an inversion of the old saw (which I've heard attributed to Churchill, but who knows if that's accurate) about how if you weren't a socialist at 20 you have no heart, but if you're still a socialist at 40 you have no head.

Before I gave my NYT subscription money to David and Wonkette, I read Wilkinson there. He's blindingly smart. I loved the hell out of this.
